Shop Storage

Case Study of an IoT Depth Camera

Shop Storage (Upcoming Project)

I saved the framing and custom LED panels from a camera calibration array destined for the trash.

After I finish the drawers for the workbenches and drill press station, this will be next in the queue.

These LED panels should provide nice, even illumination for my workspace, and after the hassle of having them made and shipped from Korea, I couldn’t bring myself to throw them away.

The cavity behind the panels will be used to store sheets of plywood and other flat stock.

I had this old gravity bin rack that was always shaking back and forth, so I decided to ditch it and make new shelves with tube framing. It’s a strong and inexpensive option for stuff like this.

Below the gravity bins will be drawers for all my Festool systainers.

The whole contraption can hug a standard wire shelf pretty closely, so it shouldn’t eat up too much floor space when it’s up and running
